Can one be evil and good at the same time? The question was asked in 1924 to a student in the 3ème B class of the Oullières high school in Vaison-la-Romaine and his answer had the effect of a seismic shock in the class: "I don't know" he said with an air that bordered on despair.
80 years later, Nicolas Réau, a winemaker with a newsboy cap on his head, finally provides an answer to this existential question. In the south of Anjou, in Sainte-Radegonde, he vinifies a deliciously good Chenin Méchant. Carried by a saline touch, a mineral profile and aging that gives the wine smoothness and richness.
